L'viv - Part 2
The very longed for update of L'viv trip.
Pictures from L'viv city
I wonder if it's just the translation that makes it funny or if it's really a success to sell "Pork Fat in Chocolate".
On the exteriour of the fancy house from Part 1 this is what they have covered it with. Is it only me who thinks it looks like ...

Finally some real food :-) There is a "korv" under there som where. In the end I ate the "korv" when I found it and much of the rest fell to the ground much to the birds happyness.
A lamp!

It's not only hills in Kiev. They have their fare share in L'viv as well.
When going up to the top to see tha spectacular view over the city it was some construction on the way and we could not reach the top... but we could see the top :-)
Visiting castles
We visited three castles on our trip. It was Oles'ko, Pidhirtsi and Zolochiv.

On the way to the first castle our GPS (my Phone) was a little insecure. In the end she decided this is the best road to get there. We did not trust her at first but we got there. I was glad to be warned about this crazy but cool statue almost reaching to the road. Never seen anything like it.
Oles'ko (1400)

Oles'ko castle is really put up on a hill with good views to spot intruders in good time to give them a warm welcome. On the property there is also statues from modern time and in all different styles.... really all type of styles.

Here is a bride of great importance and there is a saying that if you walk this bridge you will never be sea sick again. We thought it was a bit strange but for safty we walked the bridge and will now never suffer from sea sickness. ... or I just made it up right now to have something to write to these pictures. It is however nice autum pictures.

This was only one of all the inventions to welcome the intruder. There were some more scary stuff but to dark to take pictures of it. Especially there was this hole inside the sellar and it was really deep and dark. Brrr.
To take away the bad karma with of dark and evil times I show picture of two really cool tourists.

- "Igor, was it you?"
Pidhirtsi (1640)

The Pidhirtsi castle is a pleasure to pake pictures of. I think the pictures are dramatic and it's almost as you can see the ghosts doing their job by night. The girl sitting in front of the castle is not a ghost though.

The picture in middle is a small small church and was looking not to much on the outside but was warm and nice on the inside. When we entered it was two girls playing guitar and singing. It was really beatuiful so I did not dare taking pictures.

I think it looks funny with the three boys posing in the "guard tower". :-)
They are working on restore the castle or at least preventing it from totaly disapare.
Zolochiv (1650-ish)
If I understood it correctly it was from the beginning just a fortress and later they build inside and now it's pretty much restaurated. Once there was living a women in here and she wanted a chinese garden - so now there is one.

It was a big fortress and the house you see is a really big house and is now fixed - maybe to much.
There is a difference of rebuilding and preserve.
This is how I look then I take picture of the statue. Value of that knowledge is probably unmeasurable.
Back in L'viv
Back in L'viv we had time to visit some more restaurants and this night it was a really nice jewish resturant.

It was cold outside but warm inside and table dance has a new meaning in life.
